Independent Travel and Public Transport. A young person’s experience of traveling independently in Leicester
Forum Members thoughts on Independent Travel Training
The reason why young people who have additional needs and or disabilities should have access to independent travel training is to help make them more independent when using transport such as: buses, trains, taxi’s etc. The training provides greater opportunities to get out and about regularly, get people more active and supports confidence development in themselves as young people.
